It can come as a weird and strange demand but a PMK MLA in Tamilnadu has demanded to ban the Chennai Super Kings IPL franchise. PMK MLA SP Venkateswaran in his speech in the assembly demanded to ban one of the most successful IPL franchises as the team doesn’t have any Tamilnadu players but projects itself as a Tamilnadu team.

“There are many talented players in Tamilnadu but the Chennai-based IPL team hasn’t selected any TN player. They are making profit projecting the franchise as TN,” he criticized.

In the TN assembly, there are also demands for IPL tickets for Chennai home matches that will be played at MA Chidambaram Stadium. However, Minister Udayanidhi Stalin gave a witty reply to AIADMK that the son of your close friend (Amit Shah) runs IPL tournament. So he doesn’t listen to us, he said.
