The Republicans have taken control over the US house of representatives which is also called the lower house. Republicans gained the upper hand after getting the magic number in the 435-member House of Representatives. The Donald Trump endorsed Republicans won 218 seats and won control over the lower house.
US President Joe Biden congratulated the Republicans who won the majority in the election, and announced that he is ready to work with the Republicans. However, it is going to be new headaches for the democrats with the power split for the next 2 years. Only the dominant party in the lower house plays a major role in making laws in the parliament. So the chances of opposing the decisions taken by Biden are high. Biden’s democratic party was confined to 211 seats.
