The government is keen to put a radar on the Indian content that is being produced for the OTT platforms. Recently a new rule to censor the OTT content has been brought into action and now CBI has moved to the Mumbai Court to stop streaming of a documentary series.
This series is titled The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth and Netflix is all set to stream it from the 23rd of this month. This series is based on the highly controversial murder of Sheena Bora that happened in 2012.
There are allegations that Sheena’s mother Indrani allegedly murdered her daughter and tried to cover it up with the help of his ex-husband and driver. The case hasn’t been settled in the court and now the series was made. CBI urged the Mumbai court to stop the streaming of this series. The case was posted to hearing on February 20th. We have to wait and see about the outcome of this case.
