Today, AP CID has arrested Telugu Desam Party NRI leader Yasasvi (Yash Bodduluri) at Shamshabad airport in Hyderabad. Yasasvi came to Hyderabad to visit his ailing mother. However, AP CID gave no chance as they arrested him and took him to the CID office. He requested the officials to give him a chance to visit his mother.

He was arrested in the cases due to his social media posts which he is accused of posting against Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh condemned the arrest and said that YCP is treating TDP leaders as terrorists. He said that their days are numbered.

TDP NRI leader Komati Jayaram condemned the arrest of Yasasvi. He said that they expected YCP to be democratic in their last 100 days but they proved them wrong. The TDP leaders held a protest at the CID office demanding the release of Yasasvi. Meanwhile, the CID Police have issued notices to Yasasvi under CRPC 41A and released him. They asked him to come for an inquiry on January 11th, 2024.
