India won the hard-fought Ranchi test on day 4 and thus won the series comfortably by 3-1 so far. Chasing a tricky score of 192 in the fourth innings, India was made to fought hard by England’s spinners. However, India’s batsman has shown resilience and eventually won the match and then the series. Earlier in the chase, India was put in a spot of bother when they lost five wickets in a quick phase. From 84/0, India was down to 120/5.
England has seen hope and thought of wrapping up the chase, but Shubhman Gill and Dhruv Jurel have shown commitment. Jurel who was the shine of the stars in the first innings, gave good company to Gill.
Though Ben Stokes tried different things, that didn’t work out. Earlier, Rohit Sharma scored a fluent half-century and Yashasvi Jaiswal was in good touch before throwing it away. The fifth test in Dharamshala will start on March 7th – March 11th.
