Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) today met Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to seek to disqualify the MLAs who recently jumped into Congress. They have handed over a petition to the honorable speaker to disqualify Danam Nagendar who switched parties on Sunday.

BRS MLAs P. Kaushik Reddy, Venkatesh, Bandari Laxmi Reddy, and Mutha Gopal met the speaker upon the direction of BRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. The BRS leaders urged the speaker to respect the constitution by acting as per the Anti-Defection Act.

The MLAs said that switching loyalties to the other party after winning from one is not proper. Senior BRS leader and former MP Vinod Kumar stated that D. Nagendar can’t escape disqualification. Kaushik Reddy said that BRS will give a befitting reply to the Congress party. “We have taken the blows now. We will show what happens when the time comes for us to open the gate,” he said.
