Ilaiyaraaja’s foreword in the book Ambedkar & Modi: Reformer’s Ideas, Performer’s Implementation,’ has drawn huge criticism from the antis of Narendra Modi. Especially, when Ilaiyaraaja has compared Narendra Modi and BR Ambedkar along the same lines. He wrote, “both belief in action rather than words. Both dreamt big for India.”
The foreword written by Ilaiyaraaja has attained more attention than anticipated. Many leaders who are politically inclined anti-BJP have criticized Ilaiyaraaja. On April 14th, Bluekraft Digital Foundation launched the book and it went viral in no time. Many Political leaders have demanded the musical maestro take back his words.
Now, the speculations are that the BJP government is going to nominate Ilaiyaraaja for the Rajya Sabha. Subramanian Swamy’s tenure is coming to an end and the BJP government has been thinking to propose the music maestro’s name.
