All these Women work at a plastic waste segregation unit in Kerala’s Malappuram district and by the time the news broke out they were segregating plastic waste when the news was broken to them. The Kerala Lottery Department made the announcement that the Rs. 250 ticket which was pooled money has won the Monsoon jackpot.
After the news became viral, soon, several people flocked to the Municipal Godown in Malappuram’s Parappanangadi where the Women were working, and congratulated them. All 11 Women work with Haritha Karma Sena and their salaries range from Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 14,000.
