Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s recent outing BRO which also has Sai Dharam Tej in the lead role has had an ordinary first weekend. However, it could be considered decent with the Word of Mouth the film has got. All the critics rated the movie on an average of 2.5 and the public talk isn’t that great either. Despite that, the film has scored well in significant areas. This shows the public pulling capacity of the Power Star.
However, the film had to collect massive numbers to be on the safer side. BRO was sold at exorbitant prices in many areas. The movie needs to collect Rs. 100 Crores to be considered a hit but the film had only collected Rs. 56 Crores at the box office. BRO producers have opted for regular ticket pricing for obvious reasons, which in fact has shown some effect. Overseas has been the biggest concern as the movie dropped big time after the premiers. Overall, BRO had an ordinary first weekend and a lot depends on today which is extremely crucial.
