Vijay Deverakonda‘s Liger was released a day after in the North circuits. The Hindi version of Liger was released yesterday the 26th. Despite negative WOM, Liger’s Telugu version collected a decent amount of Rs. 9.60 Cr which is the highest amount excluding tier-1 heroes. The huge advance bookings helped the movie get to the opening.
Similarly, Liger’s Hindi version opened well though the critics lashed out at the movie. Liger Hindi version collected Rs. 5.5 Cr Nett on an opening day. This is the highest for a Telugu dubbed film excluding RRR and KGF Chapter 2. Even Pushpa started with Rs. 3 Cr opening.
However, with negativity around the flick, we can expect the collections to fizzle out in no time. Puri Jagannath is the director of the movie and Karan Johar is one of the producers. Ananya Panday played the female lead.
