Team India’s middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer was declared fit to play the second test between India and Australia. It will be played at Firoz Shah Kotla Stadium, New Delhi. With the clearance certificate, Shreyas Iyer has joined the squad for the second test. Iyer has been out of action almost for a month due to a back injury. Shreyas Iyer missed the New Zealand ODIs and was expected to be ready for the Australia test series.
However, he wasn’t declared fit for the first test that happened in Nagpur. In his absence, Suryakumar Yadav was handed over the test cap, he could only make 8 in his first test innings. Now, we have to wait and see whether Shreyas Iyer will be making it straight into the playing XI or not. The second test starts on February 17th.
