Royal Challengers Bangalore has choked again. They were well on course chasing a mammoth total of 227. Though Kohli and Lomror fell early, Faf Du Plessis and Maxwell took the attack to the opposition. They had a record partnership in which both Maxwell and Faf scored 776 and 62 respectively. However, after the duo’s breathtaking innings, RCB faltered utterly. They couldn’t chase 35 in three overs. The finisher Dinesh Karthik failed yet again. As a result, CSK won the match by 8 runs.
Batting first Chennai Super Kings posted a huge total of 226 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad fell early in the innings. However, Rahane and Conway scored runs at will. They both settled the CSK innings. After Rahane’s wicket, Shivam Dube scored some massive sixes. Conway scored 83 and Shivam Dube scored 52. Rayudu, Moeen Ali, and Ravindra Jadeja… all chipped in with useful contributions.
