Indian star batsman Virat Kohli has announced another major revelation. He has stated that he quits from the Test captaincy. The decision was made after India’s defeat to South Africa 1-2. This was India’s best shot in winning the series for the first time in South Africa, but not to be. Middle-order failures cost the team big time.

However, Virat Kohli stated that he has given this a long thought. “Everything has to come to a halt at some stage and for me as Test captain of India, it’s now,” said the star cricketer. He thanked BCCI for this opportunity and also thanked MS Dhoni for trusting him.

It is also well known that Virat Kohli stepped down first as T20 captain and then ODI captain as well. There were a few exchanges between Virat Kohli and BCCI dignitaries as well.
