Hyderabad Metro Rail’s MD, NVS Reddy, announced a significant expansion plan, adding 13 stations along a 14-kilometer stretch from Nagole to Chandrayangutta.
The new stations include Nagole Chowrasta, Alkapuri Chowrastha, Kamineni Hospital, LB Nagar Junction, Sagar Ring Road, Mythri Nagar, Karmanghat, Champapet Road Junction, Owaisi Hospital, DRDO, Hafiz Babanagar, and Chandrayangutta.
To ensure smooth connectivity, a new Nagole Airport station will be built near Nagole Station, connected by a Skywalk project.
The expansion requires land acquisition, with efforts to minimize private land acquisition and involve citizens and traffic police in naming stations.
