Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao is one of the most influential personalities in India. He has so much following on social media and is very active as well. Recently, Malika Handa, a specially-abled chess player from Punjab has expressed her displeasure over the Government not recognizing her efforts.
She has won one gold and two silver medals at the Worlds Deaf Championship. She was disappointed that the Government hasn’t awarded any cash reward or a Government job either. While many have criticized the Punjab government, Telangana IT Minister KTR has responded to her plea and said that he will give her a laptop and cash reward in his personal capacity.
KTR today took to Twitter and revealed that he has kept his promise. Malika Handa was invited to Pragati Bhavan and has given her a cash reward of Rs. 15 lakhs and a laptop. He even requested Sports Minister Anurag Thakur for a Government job for her.
