Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is expected to win in the Vinukonda Constituency in Guntur District. This prediction was made even before the elections by the locals. The reason for this confidence is the past political outcomes in the area.
TDP won here in Vinukonda in 2009 and 2014. In the last election, though they lost narrowly, people’s loyalty to the party remained strong.
Recently, political alliances have shifted in this area. Even Makkena Mallikarjuna Rao, who was in the YSRCP until recently, now supports the TDP.
Both TDP and YSRCP leaders are actively campaigning. They focus on party alliances and Chandrababu’s Super Six schemes. YSRCP’s sitting MLA, Bolla Brahmanaidu, is also active in the campaign, but TDP’s Jeevi seems to have more support.
The YSRCP’s manifesto received criticism, causing them to lose ground politically. Issues like unpaid loans are turning people against the YSRCP. Political analysts predict the TDP winning by a large margin of 30,000 votes.
