Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu wants to make his party stronger in his hometown of Chittoor for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. This is crucial because the TDP did poorly in the last elections there. They only won one out of fourteen assembly seats and lost both parliament seats. Now, Chandrababu Naidu is working hard to win back these areas in the 2024 elections.

The TDP candidate for Chittoor parliament, Daggumalla Prasad Rao, believes they will win this time. He thinks people are unhappy with the current MP from YSRCP, N. Reddeppa, who is not available to them. He also mentions other issues, like unemployment and problems faced by farmers, that could help the TDP win.

However, YSRCP’s N. Reddeppa disagrees. He says the work done by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party will help them win again. They have provided financial help and welfare schemes, which people appreciate.
