For the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi declared his support for the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.
Owaisi encouraged voters in Andhra Pradesh to back YSRCP, praising CM Jaganmohan Reddy for being a secular leader committed to safeguarding the rights of SC, ST, BC, and minority communities. He made these statements while talking to the media in Hyderabad.
Conversely, Owaisi strongly criticized Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), branding him as an opportunist lacking credibility. He expressed concerns that if the BJP-led NDA came to power in Andhra Pradesh, it would signal the end of reservations for Muslims.
