Sources close to the Salaar reveal that the team is looking to pull out the movie from major multiplex chains like PVR, Inox, and Miraj from South Indian markets with the controversy that the multiplex chains are favoring Dunki over Salaar in the North Indian markets purposefully. It is said that Salaar isn’t getting many theaters even in multiplexes in North India.
This triggered social media users to use the hashtag #BoycottPVRInox and it trended within no time. It is said that the Dunki team made a deal with Ajay Bijli, owner of PVR, showcasing preferences which led to unfair trade practices. It is said that PVR-Inox and Miraj Cinema multiplex chains have backed off the agreement of equal showcasing of Dunki and Salaar in the single screens belonging to the above-said multiplexes.
Being vexed with the unfair trade practices, the Salaar team has decided to pull of their movie from these multiplex chains in the South Indian markets as well, says the strong sources. We have to wait and see whether this issue will be resolved or not.
