The Supreme Court today questioned the CBI on why there has been an inordinate delay in the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s illegal assets case. YSRCP Rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju filed a petition in the Supreme Court to transfer the case to another state as there has been a long delay.

Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice SVN Bhatti formed the bench and questioned the CBI to explain the reason behind the delay. The bench served notices to the CBI and YS Jagan as well. The SC, however, adjourned the case to January next year. The Supreme Court has also served notices to all the respondents in this case.

Supreme Court stated that the petition by Raghurama Krishnam Raju is politically motivated as he is neither the petitioner nor the respondent in the case. Supreme Court also asked if RRR belongs to the opposition party to which his counsel responded by saying he belongs to YCP.
