One of the Bilkis Bano case convicts who were released from jail on August 15 last year after the Gujarat government allowed their release under its remission policy was seen sharing the stage with a BJP MP, MLA. It was a shocking incident to name it in the first place. Shailesh Chimanlal Bhatt, one of the 11 convicts in the Bilkis Bano case was seen along with Dahod MP Jaswant Sinh Bhabhor in an event in Dahod which took place on March 25th.
Reacting to this Telangana MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who is facing the investigation of ED in relation to the Delhi Excise Policy scam fired on BJP.
She tweeted, “Bilkis Bano Rapist openly shares the stage with BJP’s MPs and MLAs. What have we become as a community that perpetrators of heinous crimes against women are being celebrated and given a platform while the victims plead for justice? India is watching!”.
