1. IPL 2023 is going to introduce a couple of new rules those who watch the game needs to be aware of.
2. To make the game interesting, the IPL committee has introduced the "Impact Player rule" which means every team can play an additional player other than the playing XI; according to the conditions.
3. For this, every team needs to present two playing XIs before the toss based on whether they will bat first or field first.
4. Additional to the playing XI, four impact players need to be selected and only one of them shall play if the team decides so.
5. A foreign player can be included in the impact player list, if and only if, in the playing XI, fewer than four foreign players were selected.
6. The player who was replaced by the impact player cannot participate further in the match.
7. In addition to that, time is important for this IPL as only four fielders will be allowed outside the 30 yards circle based on the overs' failure to be completed before the allocated time.
8. If a fielder or a wicketkeeper moves from his position apart from forward, then the umpires have the power to award 5 penalty runs to the batting team.
