New Jersey: As the month of Shravana approaches, festivals and rituals are set to begin with much enthusiasm. Among the various celebrations, the Rajasthani community is gearing up to celebrate the ‘Teej’ festival in grand style.
The Rajasthani Association of North America (RANA) is organizing these festivities in the United States, ensuring that the celebrations are as vibrant as they would be in India.

Starting on August 18th, the event, sponsored by Aabhushan Jewelry, will take place at Royal Albert’s Palace, New Jersey. The festivities will include folk dances like Ghoomar, folk songs, and authentic Rajasthani food. The organizers have also announced a dress code: women are encouraged to wear ghagra cholis or lehengas, while men should dress in sherwanis.
Competitions like Teen Rajasthan, Miss Rajasthan, and Mrs. Rajasthan will also be held, along with awards like Maharani Sa and Rani Padmavati. Interested participants can register at www.roarusa.org.
