Aamir Khan‘s recent outing Laal Singh Chaddha is one of the most shocking results Bollywood has faced. The movie has only collected a mere Rs. 51 Cr Nett in 9 days. Aamir had huge expectations of the movie. He expected this adaptation work of the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump will revive Bollywood which is going through a slump.
It is said that Aamir Khan expected OTT offers will come his way. He has demanded Rs. 150 Crores from Netflix as the digital rights. However, it backfired as Aamir put an additional clause to release the movie only after six months of the theatrical release. After watching the box office performance and the conditions, the OTT giant Netflix has reportedly backed off.
The latest news is that Voot Select has bagged the Hindi version of the OTT rights. It is said that there are no takers for Laal Singh’s South version rights.
