Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar refused to comment on the issue of cancellation of Rahul Gandhi‘s membership of Parliament. He said that he does not speak on such issues in which any decision of the court is involved. Nitish Kumar said that he has never done this in the past.

However, Nitish Kumar also said that his party Janata Dal United (JDU) has presented its stand on this issue both inside and outside the Parliament.

JDU’s National President Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lallan Singh had termed Rahul Gandhi’s decision to cancel Rahul Gandhi’s parliament membership as vendetta politics.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comment on the efforts of opposition unity, in which he said that ‘corrupt people are joining hands’, Nitish Kumar gave his reaction while talking to reporters in Patna.

He said, “It is their habit to keep saying such things. These people only like to be praised. They cannot speak well about others. We do our work and also praise the work of others. I am heavenly always remembered the achievements of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s reign.”

Taking a jibe at PM Modi, Nitish Kumar said that while talking about corruption, he should keep in mind the kind of people he has shaken hands with. Nitish Kumar also spoke on the ongoing corruption cases against his Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.

He said that in the year 2017 he had broken his alliance with Rashtriya Janata Dal on this issue and joined hands with BJP but now when I have returned with him, he is being targeted again while the investigation has been going on for so many years. No progress has been made.
