New Delhi: The Supreme Court is set to hear the Tirumala Laddu controversy on October 4 morning. Due to the Supreme Court’s busy schedule, the hearing scheduled for today was postponed. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested the Supreme Court take up the case at 10:30 AM tomorrow.

The controversy revolves around allegations of using adulterated ghee in the preparation of Tirumala Laddus. The Andhra Pradesh government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the matter, and the Supreme Court has asked the central government whether to continue with the SIT or form an independent body for investigation.
The case involves several Public Interest Litigations (PILs) filed by former MP Subramanian Swamy, former TTD Board Chairman and current MP YV Subba Reddy, devotee Vikram Sampath, and Sudarshan TV Editor Suresh. The bench, led by Justice BR Gavai and Justice KV Viswanathan, is handling the case and issued an order to hold the hearing tomorrow.
