Prayagraj: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj today, taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam around 11 AM. Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Prime Minister arrived at the sacred confluence by boat from Arail Ghat and offered prayers to Maa Ganga.

The visit underscores the government’s commitment to preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office highlighted efforts to enhance infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites. The Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13 during Paush Purnima, will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26.

Security has been heightened across Prayagraj to ensure the safety of millions of pilgrims and saints attending the event. Reports indicate that over 375 million devotees have taken a holy dip at the Sangam so far.

The Prime Minister’s visit coincided with polling in Delhi, adding political significance to the event. As the world’s largest religious gathering continues, the focus remains on ensuring a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees.
