New train to Goa from Secunderabad starts on October 6

Hyderabad: South Central Railway has announced a new train service from Secunderabad to Goa, bringing great news for travelers. The Secunderabad-VascodaGama Express will begin on October 6, meeting long-standing demands for a direct train to Goa. The service will be available twice a week.

The train, numbered 17039, will run on Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Secunderabad at 10:05 AM and reaching VascodaGama at 5:45 AM the next day. On the return journey, train number 17040 will operate on Thursdays and Saturdays, departing VascodaGama at 9:00 AM and reaching Secunderabad at 6:20 AM the next day.

The train will stop at several stations, including Kachiguda, Mahbubnagar, Kurnool, Guntakal, Hubballi, and Madgaon. It offers First AC, 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper, and General Second Class coaches. Ticket bookings will start on October 4.

This new service will make traveling to Goa easier, especially for the 20% of Telugu tourists who visit Goa every year.
