“Since the brutal attack on my daughter, our entire family has been under immense psychological stress. We feel powerless in this situation. I am hopeful that your guidance can expedite this case and bring justice to my daughter. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you regarding this matter,” the letter conveyed, sent via email.

The incident has ignited widespread protests, with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) naming Sanjay Ray as the sole accused in their charge sheet. In a related move, medical students staged an indefinite hunger strike demanding accountability and action. However, deteriorating health among some protesters prompted the West Bengal government to engage in discussions, leading to the suspension of the strike.

As tensions rise, the victim’s family has reached out to the Home Minister Amit Shah, to highlight their urgent need for support and intervention in their pursuit of justice.
