Mysuru: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has once again dismissed allegations made by the opposition linking him to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam. Speaking at a public meeting in the Varuna Assembly constituency, Siddaramaiah reiterated that he has always maintained integrity in his political career and called the accusations baseless.
The opposition parties, particularly the BJP and JD(S), have been targeting Siddaramaiah, accusing him of involvement in the MUDA scam. In response, the Chief Minister stated that despite holding high office, he does not own a personal house and is currently living in a rented property. He revealed that the house he is building on Kuvempu Road in Mysuru is still under construction and has been for the past three years.

“Should I, as the Chief Minister, live in someone else’s house? I am sharing this with you because you are my people who have blessed me,” he said. Siddaramaiah also claimed that the opposition parties are unable to accept that a leader from a backward community has become Chief Minister for a second time, and they are resorting to false allegations to tarnish his reputation.
The Lokayukta and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are currently investigating the land scam involving MUDA.
