Over the years, the submarine has been equipped with advanced technology, including radar systems and weaponry. Several sea trials have been conducted to ensure its readiness.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Eastern Naval Command in Visakhapatnam after taking office and was briefed about INS Arihant. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to dedicate INS Arihant to the nation by the end of this month or in early September.

As part of the preparations, Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Visakhapatnam on August 29.
