Visakhapatnam: The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) of the Indian Navy is set to host a spectacular ‘Operational Demonstration’ at Rama Krishna Beach on January 4, 2025. The event will showcase the Navy’s advanced combat capabilities and tactical prowess through a series of well-choreographed activities.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will grace the occasion as the chief guest, while Vice-Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ENC, will host the event. The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner, Sampath Kumar, confirmed that all arrangements have been finalized in coordination with various departments.

The Operational Demonstration will feature a dynamic showcase of the Navy’s capabilities, including high-speed maneuvers by warships, submarine displays, fighter aircraft and helicopter operations, amphibious assault exercises, and combat free-fall by Marine Commandos (MARCOS). Unique highlights include a live slithering operation, the Horn Pipe Dance by the Sea Cadet Corps, and the Beating Retreat Ceremony by the ENC band.
CM Chandrababu Naidu is expected to arrive at 4:40 PM and address the public at 6:10 PM. The event promises to be a grand spectacle, reinforcing the Indian Navy’s role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime interests.
