Approved by the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), 15 of these drones will be allocated to the Indian Navy, while the rest will be shared equally between the Air Force and the Army.

The agreement, which falls under the US Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, marks the culmination of several years of negotiations. The drones will be stationed at key locations across India, including INS Rajali near Chennai and Porbandar in Gujarat, significantly enhancing India’s security and surveillance infrastructure.

Defense officials from both nations will be present at the signing ceremony, marking a major milestone in Indo-US defense cooperation.
