Biden’s visit to Ukraine’s capital Kiev suddenly from Poland was kept very secret for security reasons. According to the media reports, US President Joe Biden was taken to Ukraine by train in a very secret way through the border of Poland.

A report said that Biden had dinner at a restaurant with his wife, Jill, and then quietly left Washington.

This is the US President’s first visit since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a year ago.

What did Biden say?
Joe Biden praised the citizens of Ukraine and said that they fought brilliantly without any experience of military training.

During the visit, in a television broadcast, Biden and Zelensky issued a joint statement saying that the “democratic world” must win this “courageous battle”.

He said, “Once again I applaud the people of Ukraine, ordinary and hard-working citizens who never received military training, but the way they came forward and fought is nothing less than heroism and the whole world knows about them.”

Biden assured that Ukraine will continue to get US support. So far America has provided $30 billion in aid to Ukraine and it seems that this process is not going to end soon.

Zelensky said, “This visit is one of the most important in the entire history of US-Ukraine relations. It shows what we have already achieved. Today we had very productive talks.”

He told Biden, “Mr. President, Ukraine is grateful to you.

The US will also provide Ukraine with a surveillance radar vital for defense against Russian fighter jets, cruise missiles and other aerial attacks.

In the event of any air attack, these radars will warn the Ukrainian army in advance.

It was said in a statement issued by the first US President, “My visit to Kiev once again reaffirms our unwavering commitment to the democracy, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”

Shortly after Biden’s arrival, Ukrainian President Zelensky posted a picture of him shaking hands with the US President on his official Telegram account.
