Visakhapatnam: GVMC Additional Commissioner R. Somanna Rayana has called for active citizen participation to help Visakhapatnam secure the top rank in Swachh Survekshan 2024. Speaking at a review meeting at the GVMC Third Zonal Office, he urged officials and sanitation staff to engage the public in feedback collection for the national cleanliness survey.
He emphasized that public opinion plays a crucial role in determining rankings and that every GVMC official must work dedicatedly to improve sanitation and waste management across the city.

Daily waste collection & segregation
Road & drain cleaning
Public space maintenance (markets, parks, gardens, etc.)
