Be a little cool: Shashi Tharoor urges S Jaishankar

Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor urged India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar that he should be a little cool.

Jaishankar had just criticized the West and said that the West has a bad habit of commenting on other countries.

Shashi Tharoor said that it is not good for us to have such a ‘thin skin’. Shashi Tharoor advised the government that there is a need to handle things with patience.

Shashi Tharoor said, “I have known Jaishankar for a long time and see him as a friend. But in this case I think they should not be so thin skinned. I think it is necessary for the government to look at things with patience and calmness. If we start reacting to everything, we will do ourselves a disservice. I request my good friend Jaishankar to be a little cool.”

Lok Sabha MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Shashi Tharoor said that if you talk like this to the youth in the park, then it is another thing, but if your talk goes to the whole world, then its effect is something else.

On Sunday, S Jaishankar had said that it has been a bad habit of the West for a long time to comment on other countries and that they feel it is a God-given right to comment on the internal affairs of others. Jaishankar was talking to 500 youths in a park in Bengaluru on Sunday, during which he said this in response to a question.
