Venkat Prabhu pointed out that highlighting former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni through IPL visuals did not resonate well with Telugu and Hindi audiences, which might have affected the movie’s success in these regions.

The GOAT was released on September 5 worldwide. While it impressed audiences overseas and in Kollywood, it struggled in Tollywood and Bollywood.

The GOAT, a science fiction action thriller, used “de-aging” technology to portray Vijay as a 25-year-old. Vijay also played a dual role, with Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead and notable actors like Sneha, Laila, Prashanth, and Prabhudeva in key roles. Despite some challenges, the film made a good impact in Tamil Nadu.
