Hyderabad: Director Trivikram praised actress Samantha at the pre-release event of the movie ‘Jigra’. He compared her to superstar Rajinikanth, saying that Samantha is the only actress after him to have a strong fan base across the Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema industries. He clarified that his comments were not just out of affection but because of her talent.
Trivikram said, “Since Ye Maya Chesave, Samantha has been the true hero. She doesn’t need any other strength; she is the strength herself.” He jokingly added that they should start writing stories again if Samantha returns to films.
Speaking about ‘Jigra’, Trivikram appreciated Alia Bhatt’s dedication to the role and praised the movie’s trailer, which impressed him a lot. He also shared his thoughts on the director Vasan Bala’s previous film, ‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’, which his son loves. ‘Jigra’, starring Alia Bhatt and Rahul Ravindran, is set to release on October 11 as a Dussehra treat.
