Nikhil Siddhartha’s latest spy thriller SPY has collected a handsome amount on day one. The movie which was released on June 29th received backlash from the critics and the worth of mouth is below average as well. However, with the growth of Nikhil’s image and stature among the audiences, SPY has got decent collections. The film has collected a worldwide gross of Rs. 9.6 Crores and the distributor share stands at Rs. 5.4 Crores.
This is the biggest opening ever for Nikhil. The collections beat Karthikeya 2 opening as well. It should be commended that Nikhil could be able to pull off the audience despite mixed talk. Now, we have to wait and see how the film performs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If it passes the weekend test, then the film might be on the safer side. The Hindi version collections are around Rs. 2.5 Crores which is decent.
Directed by Garry BH, SPY is an investigative thriller that also has Subhash Chandrabose’s mystery involved as the subplot.
