Directed by Harish Shankar, Mr. Bachchan, starring Ravi Teja, is an official remake of Ajay Devgn’s Hindi hit Raid. Following their blockbuster success with Mirapakay, the Ravi Teja and Harish Shankar combination is generating significant buzz for this film.
Promotions for Mr. Bachchan are in full swing, with the first single, Sitar, receiving a great response. The second single, Reppal Dappal, is set to release on July 25.
The worldwide theatrical business for Mr. Bachchan is expected to reach around 40 crores. Andhra business is estimated at 18 crores, with total theatrical rights in the Telugu states around 35 crores and another 7 crores from the rest of the world.
Scheduled for an August 15 release, Mr. Bachchan faces tough competition from Puri Jagannadh’s Double iSmart, starring Ram, the sequel to the blockbuster iSmart Shankar. Fans are eagerly awaiting both films, hoping they both turn out to be hits.
