Mega Star Chiranjeevi remade the Malayalam super hit Lucifer in Telugu as GodFather. The movie was released last year and received mixed reviews. Despite that GodFather managed to do average business at the box office. It is a commendable feat considering the original and its dubbed version are available on the OTT and still, audiences preferred watching GodFather.
This year, Chiranjeevi scored his biggest hit Waltair Veerayya which is still performing decently at the BO. Chiranjeevi is currently busy with the shooting of his next film Bholaa Shankar which will release in the second half of this year. As per the latest update, Chiranjeevi is now considering doing a sequel to GodFather. Actually, it’s a prequel. It will showcase how Chiranjeevi went on to become a don.
Director Mohan Raja updated about the news at the time of GodFather release and now he is busy preparing the script. More details to follow.
