Major review – A sincere and honest attempt

Adivi Sesh has promoted his upcoming film Major with all his heart. The backing of Mahesh Babu has helped the movie a lot as well. The movie which is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan got released today. Let us see how the movie is.

Story:
The film is all about Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. How did he spend his childhood, and what kind of role did his parents play in what he was today. How is his love life?

The major movie touches on all these aspects. Not but not least, what transpired for Sandeep to join the army and become an NSG Commando, What is his role in saving hundreds of hostages on the unfortunate day of 26/11.

Performances:
Major is all about Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Adivi Sesh flawlessly transformed into him. His physique, body language, and everything are in great sync. Major is all about Sandeep Unnikrishnan and Adivi Sesh.

Prakash Raj and Revathi played Sandeep’s parents in the movie and they did a fantastic job, especially in the emotional sequences. Saiee Manjrekar’s role is good but her sequences in the second half act as a hindrance.

Shobhitha is good in the role of a hostage. Murali Sharma is an excellent pick for the role of a high-ranked army officer.

Technicalities:
The story and screenplay by Adivi Sesh are superb. He focused to stick on the prominent events in Sandeep’s career. The climax portions of the Major showcase what a brilliant technician Adivi Sesh is. The scene order is excellent.

Sashi Kiran Tikka flawlessly executed Sesh’s vision. He has done a near job. Sricharan Pakala’s BGM is commendable. His songs are soulful. The cinematography and editing are good as well. The production values of this limited-budget entertainment are superb.

Analysis:
All in all, Major is an excellent patriotic film that will make us emotional towards the end. Everyone who wants to know about the 26/11 hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan can give this movie a shot.
