The project Icon was announced a few years back with Allu Arjun in the lead role and in the direction of Sriram Venu. Allu Arjun adopted the title so much that his tag became Icon Star. Allu Arjun even promoted Icon on multiple occasions where he was seen wearing a cap written ICON on it.
However, the project never materialized. Allu Arjun is currently busy with Pushpa 2 which will take at least a year to be completed. Allu Arjun who is already a Pan-Indian star might not concentrate back on Icon.
So, the team has decided to move on. Sriram Venu has now contemplated making this project with Natural Star Nani. The combo is already a super hit in the form of MCA. Nani is currently busy with Dasara and is shooting for his 30th project in the direction of a debutante. He will take the decision very soon.
