Hyderabad: Rashmika Mandanna, who stars alongside Allu Arjun in Sukumar’s blockbuster Pushpa franchise, recently lauded her co-star’s remarkable dedication and performance in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Released on December 5, the film has shattered box office records, grossing over Rs 1,025 crore worldwide within just seven days, becoming the fastest Indian film to cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark.
Rashmika Mandanna expressed her awe at Allu Arjun’s transformation for the Gangamma Jathara sequence. “Imagine someone who has the guts, power, and alphaness to wear a saree, perform action sequences, and deliver dialogues in it. For 21 minutes of the film, he is wearing a freaking saree. Tell me, what man can do that?” she said, adding that his dedication earned her utmost respect and admiration.
The Jathara sequence, shot over 3-4 months, has been a standout moment in the film, showcasing the vibrant festival celebrated in Andhra Pradesh. Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj during this festival has been described as electrifying by fans and critics alike.
