Hyderabad: Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma reacted strongly to Telangana Minister Konda Surekha’s controversial comments about Naga Chaitanya, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and KTR.
Surekha had claimed that Samantha’s refusal to meet KTR led to her separation from Naga Chaitanya, which involved pressure from Nagarjuna.
Taking to X, Ram Gopal Varma condemned the minister Konda Surekha’s statements, calling them a severe insult to Nagarjuna’s family. He said that dragging the respected Akkineni family into political rivalries was unacceptable.
Ram Gopal Varma urged Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya to take serious action and highlighted that such comments should not be tolerated. He also appealed to Telangana’s Chief Minister to intervene and prevent such incidents.
Surekha’s apology to Samantha, according to RGV, didn’t address the harm done to the Akkineni family, and he insisted that the entire film industry was affected by these baseless remarks.
