Hyderabad: Fans of Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran can rejoice as the 2023 blockbuster Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is set to return to the big screen. The film will be re-released on March 21, 2025, as announced via a social media post by Suresh PRO.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film originally hit theaters on December 22, 2023, and became a massive success. The story is set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where power struggles threaten the throne. Prabhas plays Deva, who helps his friend Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran) reclaim his rightful rule after a coup attempt.
The re-release comes as fans eagerly await the sequel, Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam, which is currently in development. The film also stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, and Eeswari Rao.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is busy with upcoming projects, including Fauji, The Raja Saab, Spirit, and Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2.
