NTR’s upcoming film Devara marks his return as a solo hero after six years, following RRR and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. Directed by Koratala Siva, the action-drama features NTR in dual roles, playing Devara and Varada. It is NTR’s fourth dual-role film after Andhrawala, Adhurs, and Shakti.
Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor make their Telugu debuts as Bhaira and Thangam, respectively.
The film is set in the 1980s-90s and follows a unique concept. Notable underwater sequences, including a 40-minute climax, were shot over 35 days, with special training for NTR.
The two-part film boasts visually distinct scenes, particularly during the night sequences, thanks to cinematographer R. Rathnavelu.
NTR has dubbed his character in five languages, making it a multilingual project.
Devara has already set records with its song ‘Chutammalle’ and overseas pre-sales, surpassing the million-dollar mark before its trailer release.
