Popular Malayalam actor, and director who acted in over 100 films and directed more than a dozen films passed away today. Pratap Pothen’s worker today entered his bedroom to see the actor died. He is aged 70. Born in the year 1952, Pratap Pothen worked primarily in Malayalam and Tamil industries. He even acted in a few Telugu films and directed Chaitanya with Nagarjuna in the lead role.
Pratap Pothen made his acting debut in the movie Aaravam in 1978 and there is no looking back. He majorly acted in Balachander’s films. Some of his noted films are Takara, Chamaram, Loari, Neshethe Killate, Panneer Pushpanam, Varumain Kurar Sivap, Thakaram, Aakali Rajyam, Pushpaka Vimanam, etc., He was last seen in the movie CBI5: The Brain starring Mammootty in the lead role.
Pratap married actress Raadhika in the year 1985 but they separated in the year 1986. He then remarried Amala Sathyanath and they got separated in the year 2012.
