Veteran actor Nassar today responded to the comments made by Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan on the Kollywood industry. It is known that on the BRO pre-release event, Pawan Kalyan commented about the new rules being implemented by FEFSI and suggested that Kollywood should be more welcoming of other industry cast and crew. It is being speculated that FEFSI brought out new rules that only Tamil people should work in Tamil films.
Nassar tried to clarify the new rules being implemented. He agreed that there is some confusion about the new rules. “I would oppose any provision that restricts other industry people working in Tamil films. My brother Pawan Kalyan might have raised similar concerns. However, there is a slight misunderstanding. Head of FEFSI Selvamani has only suggested being employed while making Tamil films but that doesn’t mean to exclude others,” said Nassar.
He has also said that during the current Pan-Indian and OTT era such rules won’t be feasible. He reminded that the Tamil industry has always embraced talent from various languages.
