Prayagraj: Monalisa Bhonsle, the 16-year-old who became an overnight sensation at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, has now stepped into Bollywood. Captivating festival-goers with her beauty, Monalisa’s images and videos quickly went viral, drawing immense attention online. The overwhelming public interest eventually forced her father to bring her back home, but by then, she had already become a social media star.
Now, Monalisa has landed her debut Bollywood role in The Diary of Manipur, directed by filmmaker Sanoj Mishra. To finalize the deal, Mishra traveled to Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where Monalisa resides, and met with her family. Following discussions, she officially signed on for the project.
Before the film’s production begins, Monalisa will undergo acting training in Mumbai to prepare for her role. Reports also indicate that Amit Rao, the brother of acclaimed actor Rajkummar Rao, will be starring in the film.
